Summary
Automated Insights reads the map you are looking at and explains it in plain language. It highlights what is happening in the selected view, what it may indicate, and what you might consider next. Automated Insights is available on Maps today and is coming soon to dashboards.
Overview
Maps show a lot of occupancy and utilization detail, but turning that detail into a clear story usually takes time or an analyst. Automated Insights gives you a first interpretation right where you are working, based on the exact building, floor, date range, metric and filters you have selected.
Automated Insights is different from the Answer Engine:
Automated Insights explains the view already on your screen. You don't need to write a question.
Answer Engine lets you ask open-ended questions about your workplace data in a chat.
Turn on Automated Insights
Automated Insights is an opt-in feature in Labs. An administrator for your organization turns it on.
Open Labs.
Find Automated Insights and turn the toggle on.
Read and accept the consent and disclaimer.
You can turn the feature off at any time with the same toggle.
Analyze a map
Go to Spaces in the left navigation and select the Map tab.
Choose the building, floor, date range, metric and view mode you want to look at. Apply any filters, such as Smart Groups or space types.
Select Analyze with AI.
Review the insights in the panel that opens.
The insights describe the patterns in the current view, what they may mean for that location, and a suggested next step to consider.

If you change a filter or the view, the insights panel closes. Select Analyze with AI again to get insights for the new view.
Things to know
Maps only for now. Automated Insights works on Maps today. Support for dashboards is coming soon.
Decision support, not decisions. Insights are a starting point for discussion. Review them against your own knowledge of the space before acting.
Scoped to your view. Insights only describe the data in the view you selected. They do not look across your whole portfolio.
Results can vary. Running the analysis again on the same view can produce slightly different wording.
Privacy and data handling
Automated Insights is opt-in and requires consent from your organization.
Only the data needed to describe the current view is sent for analysis.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Your data is never used to train models for other customers.
As with all InnerSpace insights, the underlying data is anonymized and aggregated, in line with GDPR and ISO 27001 standards.
